Dermal fillers
Dermal fillers : Restylane, Versa, Juvederm line of dermal fillers
Dermal fillers are a rapid, painless, and non-surgical treatment that may make you appear years younger for a fraction of the cost of a traditional facelift. You’ll be able to get rid of your wrinkles and fine lines in only a few minutes, with the effects lasting anything from four months to a year!
As you age and start to see the signs of aging in the form of facial wrinkles and creases, you may have considered non-surgical treatments like dermal fillers. Aging causes collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid to be lost from the skin, so we use injectable dermal fillers to help improve definition and hydrate your skin. Many dermal fillers contain natural components that help to restore the skin’s moisture and appearance. Hyaluronic acid can be found naturally in every one of your cells, and it contributes to skin suppleness, volume, and moisture. Wrinkles, folds and a worn appearance may develop as you get older and your body produces less HA.
At Studio R Aesthetics, Dr. Segura uses injectable fillers, such as Restylane, Juvederm, and Versa, which are some of the most popular anti-aging treatments available today. Using these injectable fillers can help to plump up your skin and increase volume. They are made of a hyaluronic acid gel and work by adding volume to the face.

Injectable fillers are often used to:
- Smooth out lines and wrinkles around the mouth and nose area.
- Make sunken cheeks or temples appear fuller.
- Reduce the appearance of lip lines.
- Plump and enhance the lips.
- Remove chin creases.
- Soften the look of recessed scars.
When it comes to looking younger, injectable fillers are a far better option than undergoing a facelift! Injectables typically take around 30 minutes and last from 4 months to more than a year, depending on your age and condition of the skin. Most people who undergo this procedure are pleased with their results because they are quick and affordable.

Dermal Fillers FAQ
You may have some bruising after your treatment. The healing process then begins which involves swelling for about 3-7 days depending on the amount injected, area injected, and how your body reacts to the procedure. The product then settles and you’ll enjoy your final results about 2-3 weeks after injections.
Recovery time for each patient and type of filler injected varies. You should avoid intense physical activity and exercise like running, lifting weights or yoga for the first 24-48 hours after injection of fillers. Bruising is possible, plan 2 weeks ahead of any events/vacations.
