Chemical Peels

Chemical peels may be used for treating sun damage or other cosmetic concerns such as fine lines, hyperpigmentation, and unwanted freckles. At Studio R Aesthetics, we use chemical peels to help you get the gorgeous radiant skin that everyone desires safely and effectively!

A chemical peel is a skin therapy that removes and rejuvenates the epidermis on your face or body. Dead cells in your top layer are dissolved, allowing new ones to form in their place! You may experience some slight peeling for up to two weeks after the procedure, but don’t worry–your skin will be super soft after it’s all over, with minimal scarring since all of those unsightly scars were also removed!

Different chemical peels, depending on your skin type and what you want to improve. Generally, chemical peels involve applying a solution containing alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs), beta hydroxy acids (BHAs), or non-acid ingredients. Each has its unique properties for improving your skin. Chemical peels work best when applied to:

  • Reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles caused by aging and sun-damaged skin
  • Reduce freckles, age spots, and dark pigmentation caused by hormones (melasma)
  • Improve the appearance of scarring
  • Treat certain kinds of acne
  • Smooth out the skin's texture and appearance
  • Reduce the risks of getting skin cancer (including melanoma)

Chemical Peel — Based on your skin type and concerns one of 4 peels (Lactic, glycolic, salicylic or TCA) will be recommended for you. Chemical peels speed up your cell turn over to get healthy cells to the surface, help kill acne causing bacteria, improve texture, increase hydration, stimulate collagen and elastin production, and help lighten hyperpigmentation. These are recommended to be done in a series(4-6 sessions spaced one week apart) for best results for certain conditions. Noticeable results in overall skin health in one session.  (45 minutes)

Chemical Peel Boost Facial — Facial combined with a peel best suitable for your skin. This helps break up dead, dull skin with boosted exfoliation while hydrating and brightening for refreshed, glowing skin.  (60 minutes for $150)
